Firstly, it probably would have helped if I reread The Witch Hunter first (which is obviously on me) but it would have been helpful to have little recaps of main plot lines in the beginning chapters. Given that he’s built most of his career on starring in franchises, it hardly comes as a surprise that Vin Diesel would be. This is the main reason why it was hard to force myself to sit through the film - which, mind you, is only an hour and 46 minutes.
